Eighteen-year-old Yevan David will race with Kiwi Motorsport in the upcoming Castrol Toyota Formula Regional Oceania Trophy in New Zealand, becoming the first Sri Lankan driver to compete in the country’s top single seater championship. The series enters its twenty-first season in 2026, and Yevan arrives with momentum behind him.
Raised in Singapore, he was the top rookie in the 2025 Euroformula Open Championship and will use the New Zealand campaign as preparation for his step into FIA F3 with AIX. His path mirrors the standard route of today’s junior hopefuls: karting first, then a move into Formula 4. In 2024, he completed a full F4 season and represented Sri Lanka at the FIA Motorsport Games, where he took pole for the F4 race.
Alongside his Euroformula results this year, he also made his GB3 debut at Silverstone, collecting points across all three races. The New Zealand run gives him another stretch of racing before his biggest season yet.
