The Japanese driver remained in contention throughout the weekend, finishing seventh in the Sprint Race before delivering a composed drive to second in Sunday's main event.

Fellow Japanese driver Taito Kato also showed strong pace in qualifying, starting fifth before a difficult Sprint Race dropped him to 15th. He recovered to ninth in the Feature Race to secure a double points finish.

Enzo Deligny continued his consistent start to the season. The French-Chinese driver qualified eighth and finished fifth in both races, collecting solid points across the Barcelona weekend.

For Gerrard Xie, qualifying 12th set up a strong Sprint Race charge. The Chinese driver climbed to third to secure a podium finish on Saturday, but his Feature Race challenge unravelled as he slipped to 15th at the flag.

While Yamakoshi leaves Barcelona with a breakthrough result, Deligny's consistency and Xie's Sprint Race pace ensured Asian representation remained firmly in the spotlight throughout the weekend.
