Giltrap entered the Singapore finale with a narrow championship lead and converted it into the title across Rounds 12 and 13. The 22-year-old rookie in the Talent Pool programme started from his fourth consecutive pole and won Round 12 under the lights on Saturday. He followed it with another victory on Sunday, holding off a fast-starting Marcus Amand after a Safety Car period to claim his fourth win of the season.
The championship battle had gathered momentum at Sepang, where Giltrap won two of three races while Amand was absent. That run brought him into contention, and his consistency carried him through to the Singapore finale, where he sealed the overall crown.
The class championships added a regional dimension to the season-ending weekend. Wang Zhongwei secured the Pro-Am title, Roy Tang won the Am championship, and John Shen took the Masters crown, placing three Asian drivers at the top of their respective categories.
Two Talent Pool drivers also finished prominently in the overall standings. Liu Ruiqi ended the season fourth, while Naquib Azlan secured fifth. Azlan had opened his campaign with a victory at Shanghai and maintained a top-five position through to the final round.
With the championship concluded, attention turns to the next Porsche Carrera Cup Asia Talent Pool Assessment Test, scheduled at Sepang from November 22 to 24.
