Dr.Dry Racing's Rio Shimono set the benchmark in the opening qualifying session, taking her maiden series pole by 0.318 seconds over Omiya, with TOM'S Masana Muto a further 0.003 seconds behind. Omiya responded in Qualifying 2, going fastest ahead of Miura and Horachi to set up another competitive weekend at the front.
Shimono converted her pole into a statement Race 1 victory. Building a lead of roughly one second per lap, she controlled the race through the wet conditions and held off the battle behind for the podium. Horachi and Miura fought over third, but neither could challenge Shimono, who crossed the line 7.334 seconds clear to become the first female Formula Regional Japan race winner since Miki Koyama in 2022.
Race 2 belonged to Omiya. Starting from pole, the PONOS Racing driver led throughout as Horachi moved ahead of Miura for second. The race was interrupted by a red flag after Abbey Racing's Akita spun at Turn 7 and struck the wall, scattering debris across the circuit. Racing resumed behind the Safety Car, with no further changes before the shortened 14-lap distance brought the race to a close. Half points were awarded, but Omiya's victory was enough to move him into the championship lead.
The final race delivered the most chaotic finish of the weekend. Shimono lost the lead to the PONOS Racing pair at the start before Omiya and Horachi collided and spun, promoting Miura into first ahead of Lin Chenghua. Omiya recovered to third and continued attacking Miura for the lead, eventually making contact with the TOM'S driver on lap 11. The incident spun Miura and earned Omiya a five-second penalty.
A late Safety Car bunched the field for a two-lap shootout, but Omiya's penalty dropped him to fifth. Miura recovered to take the win ahead of Horachi and Lin, securing his third victory of the season.
The Masters class produced its own rotation of winners. Yutaka Toriba took Race 1 ahead of Masayuki Ueda, before Ueda reversed the result in Race 2. Hideaki Irie then claimed the class victory in the finale, finishing ahead of Toriba and Ueda. Akita remained the championship leader by 12 points despite missing the final race and failing to reach the podium across the weekend.
Miura now leads the main championship on 167.5 points, just 2.5 ahead of Horachi, with Omiya a further 14 points back. With three different race winners across a wet and unpredictable weekend, the Formula Regional Japan title fight remains wide open heading into the next round.
