The weekend began with a tight qualifying battle. Kimi Chan edged Shagaliev by just 0.008 seconds in the wet Qualifying 1, while Zhao Zijun topped Qualifying 2 with Shagaliev again second.
Shagaliev converted his front-row pace into victory in Race 1, passing Chan into Turn 1 before a Safety Car period was called to recover Zhang Jun's stranded car. Chan initially finished second, but a post-race technical disqualification removed him from the classification and promoted Chen Zhuyuan and Yu Yan onto the podium.
Race 2 produced another shift at the front. After an early Safety Car following contact between Huang Xiaofeng and Alfred Lao, Josh Feng secured his second win of the season, with Chen Sicong second. Starting from 12th, Shagaliev delivered a strong recovery drive to finish third and limit the damage from the reversed grid.
Shagaliev returned to the top step in Race 3, leading Zhao Zijun and Chen Zhuyuan to the finish. Another late Safety Car, this time after Andy Law and Ethan Liu were stranded at Turn 14, interrupted the closing stages but did little to alter the result at the front.
The final race of the weekend produced another new winner. Yu Yan held off Zhao Zijun and Shagaliev to claim the first victory of his career, adding to a weekend in which he also scored two further podium finishes. Two Safety Car periods shaped the race, with Jason Chow's stranded car triggering the first before another group of retirements brought out the second.
The championship picture changed significantly across the four races. Shagaliev leaves Chengdu with 255 points and a 47-point advantage over Chan, whose difficult weekend yielded only two fifth-place finishes. Yu Yan's maiden victory moved him into third on 176 points.
With two rounds remaining, the title fight heads to Zhuzhou with Shagaliev now holding the advantage and Chan facing a significant challenge to recover the lead.
