Indonesia’s Kiandra Ramadhipa emerged as one of the standout performers of the Moto3 Junior weekend. After qualifying third, Ramadhipa converted front-row pace into a podium finish in Race 1 before adding sixth place in Race 2 to complete a consistent opening round. The results place the Indonesian rider firmly among the early contenders heading deeper into the season.
Japan’s Ryota Ogiwara also delivered competitive pace throughout the Barcelona weekend. Ogiwara qualified fourth for Race 1 and narrowly missed the podium with fourth place in the opening encounter before recovering from a more difficult second qualifying session to finish seventh in Race 2. Across both races, the Japanese rider remained consistently inside the lead group despite the tightly packed Moto3 Junior field.
In the Moto4 European Championship, Malaysian rider Qabil Irfan secured fourth place after qualifying fifth in Group A. While narrowly missing the podium, Irfan remained competitive throughout the weekend and opened his 2026 campaign with a strong points-scoring finish at one of the championship’s most demanding circuits.
Barcelona ultimately provided a solid start to the season for the Asian contingent, with Ramadhipa securing the first podium finish of the campaign and Ogiwara and Irfan both leaving Round 1 with encouraging early momentum.
