Six of the seven drivers were rookies in their respective classes, with the group also recording a further heat win and two additional heat podiums across the final two rounds.
Water Swift
Hong Kong’s Oliver Tse delivered the strongest result of the weekend, finishing third in Final 2 for Fusion Motorsport. After qualifying ninth on Friday, Tse climbed from 19th to fourth in Heat 2 before finishing 14th in Final 1. Saturday brought fourth in qualifying and seventh in Heat 3. He started Heat 4 from pole but finished 15th after a five-second penalty for gaining an unfair advantage.
Starting Final 2 from 12th, Tse gained nine places to finish third, making him the highest-placed rookie in the final race of the season. He finished 1P1 in the championship on 800 points.
Teammate Hiro Tse was the highest-placed Asian driver in the final Water Swift standings, finishing P7 on 848 points and as the highest-placed rookie in the championship. Hiro qualified 12th on Friday before climbing to sixth in Heat 2 and eighth in Final 1. On Saturday, he qualified second, finished 12th in Heat 3, and recovered from tenth to P3 in Heat 4. He ended Final 2 in P12.
Junior X30
Sukhmani Khera produced the standout Junior X30 performance, taking the only heat win among the Asian contingent and finishing P5 in the championship on 882 points.
Khera qualified sixth on Friday and climbed to second in Heat 1 before finishing fifth in Heat 2, putting her on the front row for Final 1. An incident during Final 1 dropped her to 16th, a lap down. She responded on Saturday by qualifying P7 and winning Heat 3 after starting seventh. Her weekend ended early in Heat 4 and Final 2, where she was classified 29th.
