Kamui Kobayashi set the tone early in qualifying, putting the #47 KCMG Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo on outright pole in SP9 PRO with a 7:52.393 lap. The lap established the benchmark across the 24.358 km circuit, with Kobayashi showcasing immediate confidence through the high-speed sections and complex elevation changes of the Nordschleife.
In the four-hour race, Kobayashi shared the car with Jesse Krohn, Edoardo Liberati, and David Pittard. The quartet remained in contention throughout, running as high as second overall during the opening phases. Kobayashi returned for the final stint on lap 24, maintaining pressure at the front with consistent low-8-minute lap times despite traffic and interruptions. A late Code 60 penalty ultimately proved decisive, dropping the entry out of podium contention. The team finished 4th overall and 4th in SP9 PRO after 28 laps, 1:25.675 behind the winner, with a fastest race lap of 8:01.780 underlining their pace.
Chloe Chong competed in the #146 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup as part of the all-female Giti Tires Motorsport by WS Racing lineup in the AT 2 class, alongside Fabienne Wohlwend and Janina Schall. The team secured a solid starting position in qualifying with a best lap of 8:53.742, setting up a clean run into the race.
Chong completed multiple mid-race stints, maintaining consistent pace while managing tyre wear and navigating heavy multi-class traffic. Running as high as third in class during her stints, she recorded a fastest lap of 8:38.321 and contributed to an incident-free race. The team completed 25 laps to finish 46th overall and 2nd in the AT 2 class, two laps behind the class-winning entry.
Both drivers leave NLS3 with strong performances and valuable mileage at the Nordschleife, building momentum ahead of the final round before the 24 Hours of Nürburgring.
