Yamaha Cadet Open
The largest swings of the weekend came in Yamaha Cadet Open. Eita Yoshimine led the combined qualifying classification after topping Group 1, while Minato Nakano headed Group 2. Yoshimine carried that speed into the heats, winning Heat A-B and finishing second in Heat A-D while Hideya Suzuki claimed two heat victories and Leon Hanabuchi emerged as another consistent frontrunner with victory in Heat A-D.
The final unfolded very differently. Multiple retirements immediately changed the complexion of the race, with Yoshimine and Shusei Koseki both failing to finish. Hanabuchi finished the race on the road before being excluded following post-race technical inspection for a vehicle regulation infringement, while Aoi Sawaki and Dozo Ito were also disqualified after post-race checks for missing required equipment.
Seita Imagawa took victory ahead of Shinnosuke Watabe and Fumihiro Nakajima, capping the most eventful category of the weekend.
Yamaha Super SS
Kento Watanabe controlled Yamaha Super SS from start to finish. Pole position was followed by victory in the heat, where Masataka Tsukioka and Haruhisa Endo completed the top three after Kenji Watanabe retired. The final produced another composed drive from Watanabe, who completed a clean sweep ahead of Tatsuya Maeda and Makoto Iizuka.
Yamaha SS
Takeshi Ogoe began the weekend as the benchmark, taking pole position before leading the heat ahead of Mitsuki Kunioka and Yuki Yamamoto.
The final, however, belonged to Yamamoto. After finishing third in the heat, Yamamoto fought through to claim victory ahead of Ogoe and Kunioka, overturning the earlier order to secure the category win. Behind them, a post-race minimum-weight exclusion for Ryoya Shimada and a disqualification for Koyu Nakamura further altered the final classification without affecting the podium.
MAX Lights
MAX Lights produced one of the cleanest weekends of the meeting. Shuki Yamaguchi topped qualifying, won the heat, and completed the sweep in the final ahead of Hisashi Taniguchi. Junichi Ubukata completed the heat podium before Kosei Kurokawa stepped onto the final podium in third.
Mini MAX
Kaishin Sakakibara was equally untouchable in Mini MAX. Pole position translated into a heat victory before Sakakibara completed a lights-to-flag weekend by winning the final ahead of Yoshige Inose and Soi Nakagawa. Kaito Ando received a blocking warning after the race but retained fourth place.
Junior MAX
Kaito Lloyd left Motegi with a perfect scorecard. After securing pole, Lloyd won the heat ahead of Takeshi Shinbashi and Yoshihito Inose before repeating the result in the final, with Shinbashi and Inose again completing the podium.
Senior MAX
Senior MAX followed a similar pattern through qualifying and the heat. Taiga Tezuka led both sessions, with Eiji Yamazaki and Shun Sekiguchi featuring prominently throughout the weekend. Tezuka maintained that advantage in the final to complete a clean sweep, finishing ahead of Yamazaki, while Hayato Kato climbed onto the final podium in third.
MAX Masters
Kento Watanabe completed another perfect weekend in MAX Masters. After taking pole position, he won both the heat and the final, leading Hiroaki Wataya and Kazuya Nagato home in the decisive race.
FS-125/X30
FS-125/X30 delivered one of the few reversals among the senior categories. Sotaro Mimura claimed pole position before Toshiki Matsui responded by winning the heat. Matsui carried that momentum into the final, taking victory ahead of Ruki Senda and Kazuhito Iida to close out the weekend.
Round 3 ultimately became a weekend where outright speed alone was rarely enough. Across nine categories, penalties, technical inspections and attrition repeatedly altered the competitive picture, but drivers like Watanabe, Tezuka, Lloyd, Sakakibara and Yamaguchi ensured their performances left no room for doubt.
