The Michelin Le Mans Cup round at Circuit Paul Ricard on 2 May 2026 produced a defining result for the Ajith Redant programme, with the #85 R-ace GP entry of Danial Frost and Enzo Peugeot leaving the weekend at the top of the LMP3 championship standings after two rounds.

Across the two-hour race, all three entries completed the distance, delivering a combination of front-running execution, midfield recovery, and a classified finish in Pro/Am.

LMP3: Frost and Peugeot convert from midfield to P2

Frost and Peugeot qualified tenth in LMP3 with a 1:59.665, placing them 1.133 seconds off the class pole. From that position, the race became one of controlled progression rather than immediate gains.

Running consistent lap times across the opening stints, the pair remained within reach of the leading group before closing the gap in the second half of the race. The decisive move came late, when Peugeot passed the #19 Brutal Fish by Campos Ligier to secure second place.

At the flag, the #85 Duqueine completed 54 laps, finishing 3.421 seconds behind the race-winning #50 23Events Racing entry. Frost’s best lap of 2:00.536, set on lap 37, was the second quickest LMP3 lap of the race.

The result moves Frost and Peugeot to the top of the LMP3 championship standings heading into the next round.

LMP3: Patel and Karthikeyan gain nine positions

The #36 Ajith Redant Racing entry of Aditya Patel and Narain Karthikeyan began the weekend from a more difficult position, qualifying 23rd in class with a 2:01.211, 2.679 seconds off pole.

From the start of the race, the focus shifted to track position. Over two hours, the pair worked through the LMP3 field, gaining nine places to finish 14th in class and 16th overall, also completing 54 laps.

Karthikeyan’s best lap of 2:02.175 came in the latter stages of the race, indicating improved pace as conditions stabilized and the stint evolved. The result highlights race execution that was not reflected in qualifying position.

LMP3 Pro/Am: Kumar and Wozniak secure classification

In LMP3 Pro/Am, the #16 Ajith Redant by Virage entry of Ajith Kumar and Romain Wozniak qualified eighth in class with a 2:05.410.

They completed 52 laps to finish ninth in class and 29th overall, ending the race two laps behind the overall leader. Kumar’s best lap of 2:02.485, set mid-race, showed competitive pace relative to the Pro/Am field.
