Robert de Haan set the pace in qualifying with a 1:22.175, edging teammate Taichi Watarai to lock out the front row. Iori Kimura completed the top three, with just 0.310 seconds separating the leading trio.
De Haan converted pole into victory in Round 6, controlling the race to secure a dominant result for seven x seven Racing. Kimura finished second overall, while Watarai completed the podium to give the team two cars inside the top three. The result was particularly significant for Watarai, who arrived at SUGO leading the championship after the opening five rounds.
In Pro-Am, Tiger Wu continued his strong campaign for BINGO RACING. After taking class pole with a 1:25.021, Wu converted his pace into victory, finishing ahead of Hiro of NGR.
The AM class produced another victory for HYPER WATER RACING, although it was Ikeda who took the honours after teammate Souichirou Mano started from class pole. Mano finished second, with Kiyomin of Starrize Racing completing the podium.
Round 6 therefore opened the SUGO double-header with de Haan leading the way in Pro, while seven x seven Racing, Tiger Wu and Ikeda all strengthened their respective campaigns as the championship moved into its second half.
