Naquib Azlan set the benchmark across both sessions, securing pole position for Round 3 with a 1:35.375 before repeating the feat in Round 4 with a 1:35.401. Marcus Amand lined up second on both occasions, posting 1:35.562 and 1:35.712 respectively, while the remaining front-running positions were split between Marco Giltrap and Ling Kang.
In Pro-Am, Origine Motorsport controlled both sessions with a full team lockout, led by Lu Wei ahead of teammates Bao Jinlong and Wang Zhongwei. The AM category saw consistent front-running from 610 Racing, with Cao Qikuan and Roy Tang sharing top honours across the two sessions. Masters qualifying was split between Adrian D Silva and Jacky Wu, with Wu taking Q2 pole after a tightly contested opening session.
The opening race quickly shifted away from the front-row starters after both Azlan and Montego Maassen were handed 10-second penalties for false starts. Amand capitalised on the disrupted order to take control of the race, converting his front-row start into victory after 15 laps. He finished 3.968 seconds ahead of Giltrap, with Rodrigo Dias Almeida completing the podium in third overall.
Further down the order, Ling Kang finished fourth and Tauscher fifth, while Azlan dropped to seventh in the Pro classification following his penalty. Giltrap also set the fastest lap of the race with a 1:36.927 before his Round 4 retirement later in the weekend.
In Pro-Am, Wang Zhongwei secured class honours in tenth overall, ahead of Bao Jinlong in twelfth, while Lu Wei retired from the race. The AM class saw Roy Tang take category victory in fourteenth overall, with Cao Qikuan second in class after a penalty-affected run. Masters was won by Jacky Wu ahead of John Shen and Adrian D Silva after a tightly contested battle at the front.
Sunday’s race produced a reversal at the front, with Alexander Tauscher delivering a controlled drive from the front to take victory for Absolute Racing. He finished 0.566 seconds ahead of Rodrigo Dias Almeida, with Amand completing the podium a further 1.821 seconds back in third.
Maassen recovered from his Round 3 penalty to finish fourth, while Ling Kang placed fifth. Azlan endured a difficult race and was classified 17th overall and eighth in Pro after struggling for pace. Liu Ruiqi received a drive-through penalty converted to a 30-second time addition and finished 25th, while Giltrap and Joshua Berry both retired.
In Pro-Am, Lu Wei returned to the front of the class in seventh overall after a cleaner run, with Wang Zhongwei and Bao Jinlong completing the top three. The AM category saw Cao Qikuan take victory in ninth overall ahead of Roy Tang, while Masters was won by John Shen after early leader Jacky Wu retired on lap four.
The Zhuhai weekend produced two different race narratives across the double-header, with Amand and Tauscher sharing overall wins while Azlan’s qualifying pace was undermined by penalties and race complications. Pro-Am remained firmly under Origine Motorsport control across both rounds, while the AM and Masters classes saw consistent rotation at the front due to incidents, penalties, and retirements shaping final outcomes.
