In the 992 category, 610Racing controlled the weekend from start to finish. He Xiaole and Yuan Runqi secured both qualifying poles in the #77 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup before converting the pace into victories in both races. Hana Burton and Shi Wei remained the closest challengers throughout in the sister #53 entry, consistently finishing second while also securing the 992 Pro-Am class victories across both races. Yan Chuang added another complete sweep in 992 Am, securing class wins in both encounters for 610Racing and reinforcing the team’s complete control of the Porsche Cup field at Ningbo.
The GTS classes delivered a far more varied picture. Ethan Ho remained uncontested in GTS Pro and secured both class victories for Team KRC, but GTS Pro-Am and GTS Am split their honours across the weekend. In GTS Pro-Am, Ethan Gialdini and Tian Weiyuan secured Race 1 victory for Origin7 Racing before Chang Chien Shang and Wang Yimin reversed the order in Race 2 for RevX Racing. GTS Am followed a similar pattern, with Pan Yiming and Ye Sichao taking Race 1 for Mrs Crab Racing Team before Huang Ruohan and Wang Haosen responded in Race 2 for DTM Racing. The category also produced several of the weekend’s key stewarding decisions, including disqualifications, collision penalties, and bonus weight allocations affecting multiple entries.
The GT3 programme centred around two dominant entries. In GT3 Pro, Akash Nandy and Liang Jiatong completed a perfect weekend for Absolute Racing, securing class victories in both races despite carrying a post-race penalty in Race 1. The pair remained among the outright frontrunners throughout, qualifying second overall in Q2 just 0.062 seconds off pole.
GT3 Pro-Am, however, belonged entirely to Winhere Origine Motorsport. Leo Ye and Yuan Bo secured both overall qualifying poles in the #96 Porsche 911 GT3 R EVO before converting each into race victories. The pair controlled both races from the front despite heavy pressure from the wider GT3 field and a weekend filled with penalties across the Pro-Am category. Supporting podium positions changed between the two races, with FIST Team AAI and Climax Racing appearing in Race 1 before UNO Racing Team and Phantom Global Racing joined the Race 2 podium.
GT3 Am produced one of the weekend’s most unpredictable categories. Li Lichao and Yang Xiaowei secured Race 1 victory for 610Racing, but Race 2 delivered a complete reshuffle as Ou Ziyang and Li Hanyu climbed from sixth in class during the opening race to secure victory for GAHA Racing. Multiple Am entries also collected time penalties for track limits and contact incidents during the second race, further reshaping the final classification.
Round 2 ultimately reinforced two major themes within the 2026 China GT season. At the front, 610Racing and Winhere Origine Motorsport established themselves as the benchmark operations across their respective programmes. Behind them, however, the repeated split results across GTS and GT3 Am confirmed that several championship fights remain wide open as the series prepares for Round 3.
