Qabil Irfan laid down the benchmark across practice and qualifying, topping both free practice sessions before securing pole position with a 2:16.849. Togashi qualified second, Kunitate third, while Razin lined up sixth for both races.
Race 1 quickly developed into a multi-rider fight at the front. Kunitate and Irfan traded the lead through the opening laps before Razin charged forward from sixth on the grid to join the battle. The Malaysian timed his final move to perfection, edging Togashi by just 0.001 seconds at the line, with Irfan another 0.002 seconds behind to complete a podium separated by only 0.003 seconds.
Sunday's Race 2 proved just as close. Razin once again fought his way through from sixth on the grid, this time defeating Kunitate by 0.009 seconds after another last-lap battle, while Irfan completed the podium in third.
For the Japanese contingent, Togashi and Kunitate left Sepang with a podium apiece, underlining their consistency across the weekend as both remained in contention throughout the front-running battles.
Razin's double victory lifts the 13-year-old Malaysian to fourth in the championship standings on 50 points, while just eight points separate the top three heading into Round 3 at Motegi.
