At 15, Kareen Kaur is already Singapore’s first and only female Formula 4 driver. In a sport where experience is key, she is proving that talent and determination can close the gap, securing podiums against senior male drivers in top Asian karting championships.
This year, Kaur made the critical step from karts to cars. The transition was a success from the start. After being certified as an FIA Formula 4 driver, she scored points in her debut round of the Indian F4 Championship, making her the youngest Southeast Asian female to do so. She backed up that performance by scoring points again in the F4 Southeast Asia series.
Her move to single-seaters follows a strong record in karting. In 2025, she finished third in the ROK Cup Singapore as the only female on the grid and was awarded the "Women in Motorsports" trophy by an FIA representative in Indonesia for her performance.
Now, her focus is on the next major step: the F1 Academy. As Singapore's sole female driver in F4, she is a potential candidate for a wild card seat in the 2026 season of the all-female series, which is backed by Formula One.
This isn't just a distant dream; it's a tangible opportunity. A seat in the F1 Academy could see her racing during the Singapore F1 Grand Prix weekend in 2026. If she succeeds, she would be the first Singaporean female driver to compete on a Formula One race weekend, a milestone for both her career and the country's motorsport history.
