Han Seals Junior Title on Final Lap as Ørnbøll Takes Senior Crown at Macau

Rain earlier in the day forced the suspension of track activity, leaving only the Senior and Junior finals to be contested. With grids set by the result of the single heat completed on the previous afternoon, both championships remained open until the chequered flag.

Senior

Andrea Galimberti started from pole after passing Ørnbøll in the previous afternoon’s heat, with the Danish driver alongside on the front row. Rain before the start left the track damp and the field on wet tyres.

Galimberti held the lead through the opening corners, while Ørnbøll dropped outside the podium places. Vernice Si Lun Lao moved into second and briefly closed to within a second of the leader before Ørnbøll recovered, passing Hugo Garroway for third and reclaiming P2 by Lap 4.

Ørnbøll took the lead at the Turn 2 hairpin approaching the midpoint of the race, but the contest remained unsettled. Conrad Garrow gained nine places in the opening laps, passed Galimberti for second, and then moved ahead of Ørnbøll. As the track dried, the lead changed hands repeatedly between Garrow and Ørnbøll, with Amelia Phillips joining the fight to make it a three-way battle covered by four tenths of a second.

Phillips led on the final lap and crossed the line first, but a front fairing penalty dropped her to third. Ørnbøll was promoted to the win and the Senior championship, with Garrow second, Galimberti fourth, and Seira Kojima fifth in the final Asia-Pacific order.

Ørnbøll joins Kacper Turoboyski, who secured the European title earlier in the summer, as a 2026 Arrive and Drive champion.

Junior

John Han and Isaac Yoon shared the front row for the 17-lap Junior final, with Han leading through the opening corners. Knox Black moved past Yoon early and began the chase, while Liu Bowen and Ka Hei Chong advanced towards the podium positions.

Han and Black established a clear lead over Bowen, who headed the chasing group. Black made the first decisive move on Lap 8 to take the lead along the main straight, but Han responded immediately. Black attacked again on Lap 14 at turn four, setting up a final-lap fight for the championship.

Han reclaimed the lead on the last lap to secure the race win and the Junior title, completing four wins from four across the weekend. Black finished second, while Bowen gained four places during the final to take third. Rivaan Dev Preetham finished fourth, with Chong fifth in the championship order.

Further down the field, Brandor Shor recovered nine places from 17th on the grid to finish eighth. Hanzhi Fu also made progress from the back of the field, moving into the top ten in the closing stages before crossing the line seventh.
