Davey Todd closed out the week with a controlled victory in the 57th Macau Motorcycle Grand Prix, carrying his pace from practice into a lights-to-flag win. Starting from pole, the Zeeco BMW Motorrad Racing rider settled into the lead immediately and managed the race with enough margin to set the fastest lap, finishing just outside the long-standing benchmark from 2010.
Peter Hickman completed a team 1–2 after reclaiming second from Erno Kostamo, who had briefly moved ahead on the run through Mandarin. Kostamo’s mistake at Lisboa dropped him to fifth, but he recovered to take third. Hickman’s result marked an important finish after an injury-disrupted season and extended Zeeco BMW’s hold on the front of the field.
There were no Asian riders inside the top positions, but the event drew a strong following from across the region as part of Macau’s long-running two-wheeled history. In a race shaped by early moves at Lisboa and steady management from the front, Todd’s performance set the tone from the opening lap and held firm through the full twelve-lap distance.
Behind the podium places, Rob Hodson took fourth for SMT Racing Honda, and Lukas Maurer recorded his best Macau result in fifth. Maurizio Bottalico completed the top six in his first appearance at the event.
