BMW claimed victory in the Rolex 6 Hours of São Paulo after a closely contested Hypercar race at Interlagos, but both Asian-linked entries remained firmly in the fight throughout the six-hour contest. Jack Aitken helped Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA recover to fourth after an early setback, while Yifei Ye and AF Corse completed another clean run to finish fifth.

#38 Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA

Jack Aitken was among the quickest drivers all weekend at Interlagos. The South Korean topped both FP2 and FP3 before qualifying second in Hyperpole with a 1:23.089, just 0.048 seconds behind the sister Cadillac to complete a front-row lockout for Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA.

The #38 machine held second through the opening stint before Kevin Magnussen's BMW found a way past Earl Bamber on lap 11. A wheel nut issue during the first round of pit stops dropped the Cadillac down the order, undoing the advantage built through qualifying.

From there, the recovery began. Aitken recorded the fastest lap of the race with a 1:25.510 as the crew climbed back through the Hypercar field, recovering from 13th after two hours to rejoin the fight at the front. The #38 eventually crossed the line fourth, narrowly missing out on a podium after one of the strongest comeback drives of the afternoon.

#83 AF Corse

Yifei Ye and the #83 AF Corse crew delivered another measured endurance performance. After showing solid pace through practice, the Ferrari qualified eighth for the race before steadily moving into contention. The car ran third in the Hypercar order through the second, third, and fourth-hour classifications, remaining firmly inside the podium battle for much of the race.

As the final hours unfolded, the #83 slipped back but remained inside the top five, eventually finishing fifth after a clean, trouble-free run that added another consistent result to AF Corse's campaign.

Interlagos once again underlined the fine margins in Hypercar competition. Aitken's pace and Cadillac's recovery drive delivered fourth after an early setback, while Ye and AF Corse remained in podium contention for much of the race before securing another valuable top-five finish as the FIA World Endurance Championship season continued.
